Volunteer Positions

The Conference Championship Volunteer Coordinator function is being handled by Johnson Ranch this year.  Please fill in all the cells in your spreadsheet and submit those entries to the assigned coordinator July 18th.  It is imperative that all slots be filled prior to showing up at the meet.  Not having the cells filled is the surest way to slow down Championships.  Please submit the updated spreadsheets to Elk Grove by emailing them to Alan Wall at the following email address.

Meet / Facility Overview - UPDATED Layout - 07/21

The UC Davis Schaal Aquatic Center has hosted at least one NorCal Championship Meet for the past five years.   The preliminaries will be run using two 8 lane courses - separated by heats.  The Odd Heats (1,3,5,...) will swim prelims in the south course.  The Even Heats (2,4,6,...) will swim prelims in the north course.   The top 10 preliminary times will be entered into finals which will be held in the afternoon.  Finals will run a single 10 lane configuration on the south course.

Relays and finals make up last segment of each day.  During this period, only one 10 lane heat will swim per event.  The finals will be run at the far end of the  pool - which is the deep end near the diving boards.

Each team is assigned a large area at the facility for the team and parents to sit together.  

T-Shirts, Sweat Shirts, Tanks, etc will be available as well as swimming gear.

Championship Ad Sales

Team Responsibility

Each team is responsible for a minimum of $200 ad sales.  Everything over the $200 minimum is subsequently split with the team that sold the ad.  The splits are paid out at the beginning of the follow swim year.

Each team should have one team coordinator that gathers all the ads for that team and turns them in to Elinor Bickell by July 6th.

Parking cost $6 / vehicle per day
It will be collected as you come into the facility

Parking allowed in the following lots

  * VP56 - closest parking lot to team areas and pool

  * VP53 - Next closest lot - but not real close

  * VP57 - Next further lot - This is designated the RV lot - See RV requirements below

  * VP30 - Definitely falls in the 'not close' category (very top of the map)

A Traffic Officer will be assisting traffic as it turns off Hutchins and proceeds to the pool area.
It is safe to assume that traffic will backup from Hutchins back to the exit off Hwy-113.

Plan accordingly. 



 RV’s - Parking Rules (see map above)

RV's are permitted provided that you obtain both a $12 RV over night parking permit AND a $6 per vehicle per day permit.  

RV Over night parking permits are for parking lot VP57 ONLY. 

RV Overnight parking permits MUST BE purchased in ADVANCE!  Email taps@ucdavis.edu for more information.

RV Overnight parking permits are not SOLD after 5:00pm on Friday - Get them before close of business on Friday.
